The OM605/6 LandRover Adapter Kit is specifically designed for the R380 & LT77 5 speed transmission commonly found in the 200 & 300tdi equipped vehicles (Discover, Defender, Range Rover).
Whilst the R380 is a stronger alternative (& what the majority of people will use when putting a powerful OM606 engine into a landrover) the LT77 is more than capable or handling milder power levels from either a fairly low tuned OM605 or 606.
This kit is now offered with either the Sachs Performance Clutch Cover rated to over 600bhp or the Sachs Clutch Cover rated to up to 350bhp which is more suited to the lower power builds who would like to keep a lighter clutch.
This kit is extremely driveable with no juddering on take-off and offers excellent clutch control in off road situations.
These kits are also excellent for use on vehicles which tow on a regular basis.

OM606 Specific Option – Although we try and avoid electronic control of our engines at all cost, we understand that there are customers who may want to do this. With our new flywheel design it allows the customer to safely use the original ring gear and its trigger teeth pickup. Notice how the ring gear actually bolts to the back of the flywheel like a torque convertor. This is the only way this method can be done safely and prevents the ring gear from separating from the centre disk. Please advise if this flywheel is required for your application as these go out as standard with the ring gear version.
